It is difficult to obtain high accuracy in facial expression recognition (FER) tasks in the case of only small datasets available. The lack of labeled data seriously influences the training results of FER models. To this end, we present a small sample learning strategy applying transfer learning and generative adversarial network (GAN) to facial expression recognition.
