That's fine I think - just a design consideration

it would also be good to give the user (only the owner) the ability to add notes to individual patterns in a gene cart

@jorvis, any thoughts on adding pattern/gene/collection descriptions in the v2 selector widgets? Perhaps on-select or on-hover? There is that space beside to the left of the Proceed/Cancel button group that could be utilized

just realized dataset collections dont have descriptions in the database
