What is this request referring to?
N-box motif

Request number 5: following from #591
The GO will be deleting this term and we need the term for use in the annotation extension field:
GO:0071820 N-box binding
Definition: Binding to an N-box, a DNA motif with the consensus sequence CACNAG that is found in the promoters of genes expressed preferentially at synapses. PMID:11498047

What is the name you would like SO to give the term?
N_box_motif

What is the definition that you would like for this term?
A sequence element characteristic of some RNA polymerase II transcriptional cis-regulatory regions. This DNA motif has the consensus sequence CACNAG and is found in the cis-regulatory regions of genes expressed preferentially at synapses. The N-box is a response element for the synaptic signals Agrin and Neuregulins as well as a binding site for transcription factors of the Ets family.

Possibly this should have the parent E_box_motif SO_0001158 if the concensus falls within the range of the E box, PMID: 8078474 states: .... [two bHLH family proteins].... bind the N-box, which differs slightly from the consensus binding site (the E-box) for other bHLH proteins.
