When use VLP-16, what is the error for motion estimation?

I have read this paper: "LOAM: Lidar Odometry and Mapping in Real-time" http://www.frc.ri.cmu.edu/~jizhang03/Publications/RSS_2014.pdf
And I found that it was "velodyne HDL-64E" used in experiments, but I only have VLP-16, so I want to know the error when use VLP-16 in loam?
