This ClickPoints addon allows you to draw lines, automatically and manually select an area around each line and export data of vector fields in the selected area.
Download and extract the package, open a treminal, navigate to the "localAlignment" folder that contains the setup.py file and install the package with the command "pip install -e .". Now the "localAlignement" addon should be available within clickpoints.
