  • Preliminary Announcement: Value and Efficiency Teaching and Research (VETAR) Individual Proposals. VCUHealth has provided funding to the School of Medicine to enhance its research and educational missions. A portion of this funding will be used for individual proposals. A preliminary summary of the forthcoming announcement is provided below in bullet form. Funds will be used to support original research or educational Initiatives; Support is Intended to enable external funding; Budgets up to $50,000, Awards up to $150,000 may be considered with additional justification; Research funds primarily for personnel, supplies; PI salary up to 10% effort allowed; Submission format TBD, but likely R21-like; Deadline for submissions March 1; Detailed submission instructions will be provided by February 1
