Future of this repo

Are there any modern re-implementations of this code? It's getting harder to compile as Ubuntu and the dependencies move forward, are there any plans to take this to another platform or release binaries?

There's so much shit to fix. And Ubuntu is just such a pain the ass to build for

I'm not an expert of Linux, so I'm just wondering if those four binaries (3 static libraries and 1 executable) can be provided and used across different Ubuntu distros. That'll be sweet.
