Decision: Use contentType annotation for datasets/folders [informs DCA config]

In HTAN, we currently don't use contentType annotation = dataset. Instead we have the DCA pick up top level folder.
The data modeling group has been discussing the utility of this annotation. What other projects are using this?
Do we need this? Do we want to continue NOT using this for HTAN?
