DOPE -Running Rviz2 on Jetson

Hello,

I'm following the instructions for Inference on DOPE using TensorRT on a Jetson Xavier NX, and have been successful through step 8.

However, step 9 is to run rviz2. I am running this from the docker pulled from isaac_ros_common, but the ROS2 build is base, and does not appear to have rviz2

I have looked upstream at the the jetson-containers repo where the base image is created, but when I try to create a new base which includes ROS2 desktop rather than base, it is failing, and in reading some of the issues, even Dusty was not able to get full desktop ROS2 to build successfully.

For step 9 in the DOPE instructions where you mention running RVIZ, did you get that to work on a Jetson? If so, can you let me know how?

You will need to run rviz2 in desktop connected to the same network with the Jetson and launched with the same ROS_DOMAIN_ID (or just the default). We have not been able to run rviz2 to run directly on the Jetson itself.
