About the installation of franka_ros

Hi,
I know that franka_ros only can be used with Ubuntu. But must we install Ubuntu as one of the dual systems?
I have this question because Microsoft mentioned that windows10 can install Ubuntu as a subsystem as follows link. But I'm not sure if we can install franka_ros on it. Will it affect the real-time control part of franka_ros?
