I'm (rather surprisingly) still using the turtlebot_arm and I have made quite a lot of improvements in my fork. Most notably:
- adapt to use The-Gazebo-grasp-fix-plugin
- proper physics for gazebo
- displace gripper link within the fingers
- re-generate IKFast plugin accordingly
I didn't bother to PR here cause I assume nobody else is using this repo anymore. But please tell if that's not the case and you are interested on having the latest updates. And please, @mikeferguson, change the default branch to melodic-devel.
