Rviz gives error on loading hokuyo.dae

LiDAR version errors out when attempting to launch rviz. Gazebo world launched fine and well. Loading robot model with Hokuyo lidar mesh file hokuyo.dae using the same urdf description file causes an file not found exception.
Rviz does not crash upon the error loading robot model, move_base launches fine, but crashes when trying to publish 2D nav goal.
