Very fast method to read number of events and parameters from some / all FCS files in a directory.
I wanted to fast way of determining the number of events in an FCS file without having to open them in e.g. FlowJo / Diva / FCS Express etc.
For example, across a network, getting the number of events and parameters for 3GB of FCS files takes less than 1 second.

Tested on BD Aria and Fluidigm CyTOF.
